  • That's where we disagree and there is no way here and now to determine who is right. I don't think it can go on forever. I don't think we can take in everyone in the world who wants to be a US citizen. But lets for a moment say that we can.

  • Manufacturing off shore has as much or more to do with a company wanting to pay less taxes as it does with cheap labor. Companies set up independent companies in foreign country's with very low or zero corporate taxes. Then they buy the product from the company at a marked up price.

  • The people who start rumors are scum, but it's really the people who so easily believe anything they hear or read that give these rumors the power to damage peoples lives. Its the gullible people who believe the rumor and repeat it instead of ignoring it that really do the damage.

  • I'm conservative and actually think his plan is OK. The reality is, there really isn't much either party can do. We really just have to ride this out. If the prez wants to add some more kindling to help get the fire started, it won't kill us.

  • In general I'm really neither pro union or anti union. But in the case of Longshoremen on the west cost, I'm ANTI Union. This is not the first time we've heard from this group and I don't have a lot of sympathy. First off they make really, really good money for medium skilled labour.

  • Although I feel a lot of the criticism of the MLK memorial is unfounded and petty, I totally agree with Maya Angelou on this. Their paraphrasing changes the whole meaning. It would have been better just to leave it off, if they really couldn't find room.
